Tuenti HP 40’s Pol Espargaró has converted pole position into the opening Moto2™ race victory of 2013, but only after a spirited battled with Marc VDS Racing Team’s Scott Redding. Italtrans Racing Team’s Takaaki Nakagami led in the opening stages before achieving a career-first podium finish.

Moto3™: Salom wins dramatic opening race of 2013

Luis Salom has triumphed in an action-packed first Moto3™ race of 2013, winning the Commercial Bank Grand Prix of Qatar. In a five-rider battle, Maverick Viñales sealed second place from Álex Rins, Álex Márquez and Jonas Folger.
